AI Trust: The Courage to Believe in Good

Building trust in AI systems requires both technical understanding and human wisdom.

Trust in AI is often framed as a technical problem: explainability, robustness, alignment. But it's also a human one. We must choose when to rely on systems, how to verify their outputs, and when to override them. That requires not only literacy but wisdom—the courage to believe that good outcomes are possible without lapsing into uncritical acceptance.

Healthy trust is neither naive nor cynical. It's earned through experience, scrutiny, and the willingness to update. This essay explores how we can cultivate that balance as AI becomes more embedded in our lives.
