In many ways, we stumbled into this position by accident—a fortunate convergence of venture capital, technical talent, and cultural openness that positioned our city at the epicenter of the Intelligence Amplification revolution. But what began as happenstance now requires intentional development. While OpenAI and Anthropic establish the technical foundations of this revolution from their San Francisco headquarters, we face a critical inflection point: Will we merely host these companies, or will we build the comprehensive ecosystem that cements our position as the definitive World Intelligence Amplification Capital for generations to come?

The answer lies not in more venture funding or technical breakthroughs, but in democratizing access to the Intelligence Amplification economy through a surprisingly overlooked institution: City College of San Francisco. This blog series—which will evolve into a comprehensive book—explores how the partnership between our community college system and leading Intelligence Amplification companies could transform San Francisco from merely an important hub into the undisputed, unassailable World Intelligence Amplification Capital.
